HOW TO GET THERE?

Daily Bus Service of J&K State Road Transport Corporation & Video Coach Buses operates from Jammu to Patnitop. Luxury Coaches are also available from Jammu Bus Stand, Railway Station and Airport. J&K Tourism Development Corporation operates special luxury coaches from Railway Station and J.K.T.D.C. Residency Road, Jammu. Daily Transport facility is also available from Katra, Base Town of Shri Mata Vaisjno Devi Ji.

A range of trekking options is available in the Kud – Patnitop. Ask for free copy of Trekking brochure from the office of the Tourist Officer, J&K Tourism Department Kud and Patnitop. Trekking routes are open during summer season only. Trekking material is available on rent from Tourism Department at Kud. Ski courses are conducted in the months of January and February. During the winter months, there are introductory courses for tourists visiting Patnitop and Kud. The gently graded ski slopes of Patnitop are ideal for beginners. J&K Tourism Department has introduced Paragliding at Sanasar. Equipment can be hired from the Tourist Officer, Tourism Department Kud. May-June and September-October are suitable months for the Paragliding at Sanasar, 19 Km from Patnitop with a good approachable road and transport links.



WHAT TO BUY ?

Jammu & Kashmir is famous for its handicrafts. There are many Handicrafts vendors around Patnitop. The famous sweets of this area called “PATISA” can be had from the main market at Kud.



WHAT TO VISIT ?

During summer months from May to August is the peak season in this area with maximum temperature of 19°C-23°C. In December to February Tourist may visit this area to see the snow fall.
